First time trying this location and it did not disappoint. Super friendly and helpful. Small location but is very atmospheric. My Dad got the short ribs, my mom got the chicken chop suey and I got the chicken and shrimp pad thai. My dad's plate had a macaroni salad and green salad with his order and he was delighted. He loved the flavors. My mom's chicken chop suey had rice and she enjoyed it very much. My chicken and shrimp pad thai noodles were delicious only problem was I had two shrimps and all chicken. The sauce and peanuts omg delicious. Definitely going back again was well worth the money. They give you so much food you have enough for the following day.

Went to the place on a whim as I was just wanted my dinner late at night and was pleasantly surprised to see all the inexpensive menu items. I had tried out the kbbq ribs and Thai bbq chicken and chow mein. The whole meal was able to feed my family of 3 for such a cheap cost all while still being delicious. I will definitely be coming again in the future as a regular.

I usually stick to my regular order of teriyaki chicken with double mac at Thai Deli, but today I decided to try something new. I went with the beef broccoli, pork Pad Thai, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced coffee. The mango sticky rice and Thai iced coffee were the standouts for me. So delicious! I wasn't a fan of the beef broccoli, so I probably won't get that again. The pork Pad Thai was good and I'm now curious to try the shrimp version next time.

I found out about Thai Deli from a Boyle Heights Foodie Facebook group. I've heard good things about it and finally gave it a try tonight. I was in shock about how everything on the menu are inexpensive, especially with how pricey things are now a days. We ordered the half teriyaki chicken and half Korean short ribs plate which came with white steamed rice, mac salad and green salad. We also ordered a pad thai which normally comes with shrimp and chicken, but I subbed the chicken for fried tofu. I was charged $1 to sub which was odd to me because tofu is cheaper than chicken. We paid $23 for the two meals and serving was huge. The chicken teriyaki was good. The beef short rib was tasty, but a little rough. I like the mac salad because it was a bit sweet. The green salad was basic with iceberg lettuce, a piece of onion, a sliced tomato and thousand island dressing. The pad thai looked a bit dry when I first glanced at it, but all the sauce was actually in the middle of the noodles. It came with 6 big pieces of shrimp which was good. The pad thai was actually tasty, but not the best I've had. Customer service was excellent. The lady in the counter was so polite and patient. There was a difficult and annoying customer in front of me asking endless non-sense questions about the menu and expressing how she doesn't like this and that and other dishes she's previously ordered and the lady just kept calm and kindly answered all her dumb questions.

Love love love this place. I always get the half teriyaki chicken and half korean beef short ribs with double mac. Which runs you about $13 at the time of this post. No where else will you get a price this cheap and flavor this great! Parking lot sucks so phone in your order. Service is impeccable, no chit chat straight to the point. Ambiance is great, old Asians ladies cooking in the back!

This place always hits the spot. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Their BBQ short ribs are the best and always have it with double Mac n cheese. If you're ever in East LA this is definitely the place to stop by and grab lunch. Just remember it's cash only.

I love Thai deli for takeout nights! The noodles are great as well as the chicken teriyaki plates with fried rice and double mac. I dream about that mac salad--reminds me of home in Hawaii! I'm pretty sure they're still cash only so be prepared...definitely worth the trip to the ATM! Calling ahead to order is the way to go.
